Tom Knight and Jim Lawrence will once again perform their annual benefit concert for Babies First. Tom Knight is known as a children's performer and leader of the swing band, Blue Moon, but once in a while gets together with Jim Lawrence (bass and vocals) for a special evening of folk and swing music.
Many of the songs are Knight's originals, including uptempo dance numbers, sweet ballads, and funny songs about love. Besides covers of tunes like "Cheek to Cheek," "Homegrown Tomatoes," and "Waltzing with Bears," you'll also hear a preview of many songs from Tom's upcoming kids' album "The Library Boogie," due out this Summer.
Jim Lawrence adds his acoustic upright bass and versatile voice (not to mention his engaging personality) to really fill out the sound. He has played with many local bands over the years, including The Choice, The Kinetics, and Backtalk.
